Handz of Hope and the Unity Street Team visited the Senior Citizens Facility and offered a free eye exam and educated the seniors on the importance of their yearly eye evaluations.   We took a couple of items just to be a blessing. Every senior received an encouraging card, inspirational coffee mug, and a free eye exam voucher. 

They wanted to know why I was there and was this just a one time thing. I let them know that I was a volunteer who wanted to help and would love to come back. This is what I love to do, help others. Needless to say, I’m going to need a spades partner because they want us to come and play spades and hang out.  We will go back to visit and lend a helping hand and have some snacks.  They said they love food!  I said you guys are my new friends because I love food too!
